Press Releases

November 20, 2007, Shiner, Texas

KASELCO, a division of KASPAR Electroplating, has received an order for a 750 GPM Electrocoagulation package for a project in China.  EnviroTech International Group (ETIG), its sister company in Beijing, in cooperation with a respected Chinese engineering and construction company secured a contract with a major steel mill in Shuikoushan, China.  The Chinese government is implementing and enforcing more rigorous environmental discharge standards for industries nationwide.

This is the third electrocoagulation project for KASELCO and ETIG in China.  The other two projects are treating heavy metals from plating operations using  2.5GPM and 10GPM packaged units.  This 750GPM (4100m3/day) "Hi-Flo" reaction package will be removing a variety of metals from the wastewater in 24/7 operation.  The unit will dramatically reduce the need for their traditional water treatment chemicals and deliver much better contaminant removal.  It is anticipated that less polymer will be required to ensure settling in the existing clarifier prior to the clear water being discharged.  Also, less sludge will be produced reducing solid waste management burden.

ETIG represents KASELCO technology in China, and works with engineering companies there to deliver electrocoagulation wastewater treatment projects as well as other technologies for water treatment.

Media Coverage of Kaselco

September, 2005 -- THE FIRST MOBILE ELECTROCOAGULATION UNIT IN MEXICO - "USAid - Front Lines", September, 2005 -- "Lamar University, in collaboration with Kaselco, a Texas-based water treatment company, took the first mobile electrocoagulation unit into Mexico with the cooperation of Ecolimpio, a Mexican environmental waste management company in Saltillo. Ecolimpio subsequently bought the unit, and Kaselco built a new improved unit for the project.  Ecolimpio and Kaselco signed an agreement for Ecolimpio to market the technology in Mexico and Latin America."

ETVP QUARTERLY REPORT oct 2002  US EPA Environmental Technology Verification Program - "The ETV Pollution Prevention Metal Finishing Technologies pilot... has verified the performance of an electrocoagulation wastewater treatment system developed by Kaselco, Inc. The Kaselco POSI-FLO Electrocoagulation Treatment System is a series of tanks and associated equipment used to process industrial wastewater containing dissolved metals and organics. The verification test evaluated the ability of the combined treatment system to remove regulated contaminants from the wastewater and recover the wastewater for reuse."
