Old style Reactor, PLC-controlled 10GPM treatment system complete with clarifier and sludge thickener

Representative opportunities

Sample Evaluations

Send us a realistic representative sample of the waste water your KASELCO unit would be treating.  We'll run it in a scale model of our full-size units.  This benchtop model is an accurate representation of the treatment effectiveness of our commercial units.  In fact, we base our performance guarantees on it.

Treatment Targets:  Our lab is equipped to test for most metals using our Atomic Absorption (AA) unit, and is equipped with analytical devices to test pH, conductivity, total phosphorous, and turbidity (FAU).  Be specific about the target pollutants and provide your permit limits.  We do not run the full library - this isn't an EPA lab report - it's a treatability study - we'll run the primary targets for you - before and after.

To support the design of solids separation components, we filter the solids produced and weigh them to estimate sludge production, and we time the settling rate for clarifier sizing estimate.

Please download our Application Information Form, complete it and submit it PRIOR to sending the sample.  Let's be in communication so you can be sure you are creating a real representative sample of what will be treated.  If you think there is a wide range, maybe two samples are necessary.

Emulsion and Treated Effluent (floc not yet de-foamed and still floating)Evaluation Fee:  US$200.00.  If COD, BOD, TDS, TSS and/or O&G are required (or unusual metals for which we don't have the standard), we use an outside lab.  Those charges - approximately $45 for each analysis - are added directly to your invoice.  We only charge a prospective customer the Evaluation Fee once for a given waste stream.  If we need another 5 gallons or alter the waste and need a different 5 gallons, we don't charge again.

Send a sample only after we have reviewed your AIF and approved the receipt of the sample.

Send:  5 Gallons of raw, un-altered sample - no pretreatment (this does not include any pretreatment for Cyanide destruction - if there is any CN you must state so).

Heavy-Duty 5 Gallon Plastic Water Storage Containers, BlueProduct PictureContainer:  5 gallon polyethylene bottle with 2" closure.  These are the best --   Mark directly on it with magic marker the source company and address, sample source, date of sample, and our address.

How:  Overnight is best.  Overnight is mandatory if BOD is the concern (and chilled is even better).

Packaging:  The transportation company may want this to be placed in a carton.

Label:  "Non-regulated water sample for analysis" (unless it isn't - if it contains a highly concentrated hazardous pollutant that exceeds DOT RQ we probably can't treat it anyway).
